About this Event
While A Trike Called Funk is best know for our participatory experiences in music & movement, we've been gradually expanding our activations in public outdoor spaces to to include visual arts, too.
Sponsored by the Mellon Foundation and the Mayor's Office of Arts & Culture's UnMonument initiative, A Trike Called Funk's recent collaborations with local graffit writers & muralists here in Boston have yielded a beautiful body of work that we're putting on display for free and for one night only!

…all of who live painted during A Trike Called Funk’s participatory music & dance activations this past Summer and into the Fall as part of our “Spray It Loud, Display It Proud” series whose subtitle is “Monumental Manifestations of Community in the Medium of (Mostly) Graffiti.” Taken together, the featured works reflect a colorful cross-section of people, places, and values at the heart of our interactive arts experiences in & around the City.
In addition to this amazing line-up of local artists & their pieces, the special occasion will bring together a diverse array of people who like us love & support public art in the City of Boston–from our sponsors, to our community partners, to our creative collaborators like guest DJs and dance leaders who also brought their creativity into our series.
The culminating one-night-only exhibit will also feature music by A Trike Called Funk as well as hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages. Come thru to see the hues, enjoy the grooves & food, and to bust a move, too! Please note that venue capacity is only up to 75 people, so be sure to RSVP ASAP to get in for FREE!
