About Malta Spotlighter’s Theatre Troupe:
Founded in 1989, by Elyse Young, Artistic Director, Spotlighter’s Theatre Troupe is a multi-generational acting troupe, which provides participatory theater activities to enhance and enrich the cultural life in both Malta and the surrounding communities through the shared experience of live theater.
• Produced over 70 productions in the 35year history; approximately 2 per year
• Between 60-80 actors and actresses involved per year
• Additionally, over 100 volunteers work on the productions annually
• Over 700 audience members come to see the productions annually
• Strong community and family support by way of sponsorships and advertisers
• Elyse has successfully received many grants for the Troupe from 1991 to present
