Adolescence can feel confusing — for children and for parents.
When a child is neurodivergent, conversations around puberty, attraction, boundaries, and consent often come with added layers of confusion, fear, or silence.
SPOT Microschool is hosting a small, thoughtfully designed session for parents, led by two deeply experienced professionals:
Ashika Shetty - Child Rights Worker & Parent Educator with 18+ years of experience, associated with the Child Welfare Committee, Bangalore, and a strong advocate for safe, respectful, and neuro-affirming parenting.
Dr. Bindiya Shajith - Child Psychologist & Special Educator with a PhD in Psychology and extensive experience working with neurodivergent children, adolescents & families.
Together, they bring perspectives from child rights, psychology, education, gender and inclusion — making this session deeply practical, compassionate, and relevant for real-life parenting.
This space moves away from shame, alarm, and “one-size-fits-all” advice, and instead offers grounded, practical guidance rooted in child rights, psychology, and lived experience.
This session supports parents to feel more confident, calm, and prepared to have honest, age-appropriate conversations—without awkwardness or fear—while prioritising safety, dignity, and emotional wellbeing.
This space is for parents who want to:
- Feel more confident having difficult conversations
- Better understand their child’s emotional world
- Navigate puberty, boundaries & consent safely
- Support independence while building trust
- Parent with clarity, compassion and confidence
