Sports Law Conference

As the recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic continues globally, the sporting spotlight has returned to live international championships, tournaments and events. Close to home, Birmingham hosts the Commonwealth Games in July, the largest multi-sport and cultural event the city has ever staged. Further afield, Qatar stages the FIFA World Cup in November, the first Arab nation to host the tournament, with an expectation of attendance by £1.5 million fans over the course of the event. The WS Sports Law Conference will address the multitude of legal issues that stem from international sporting competition. With our partners at Lombardi Associates, we are delighted to bring keynote speaker, Patrick Stewart (General Counsel, Manchester United), to Edinburgh to begin the comprehensive programme of current questions for sports lawyers and their clients.
