In this highly anticipated matchup, WNBA stars take the court on day five of the Games in a pivotal one game showdown. Featuring Oceanside native and NCAA Champion Te-Hina Paopao, two time WNBA Champion Sydney Colson, LA Sparks star Dearica Hamby lead Team Americas again a Team World featuring three time WNBA and Israeli champion, Alysha Clark, former UCLA All American Michaela Onyenwere and other international hoop stars.
The SI Women’s Games is an all-women’s international all-star team competition featuring teams of elite athletes from the Americas against teams from the Rest of the World competing in different sports for the SI Women’s Games championship. The purpose behind the Games is to shine a light on women’s sports and the impact of female athletes on sports and culture. The Games are planned to take place every other year. In 2025 the Games will take place in Oceanside, CA.
Event Format: the SI Women’s Games will consist of competition in seven sports over six days. Athletes will compete for prize money based on the results in their sport and the cumulative results of the Games. The SI Women’s Games will be broadcast live around the world.
