Sports Against Racism Seminar: Toolkit Launch
Doras is holding a free seminar on the topic of Sports against Racism on Wednesday 21st of August 2024 at the Clayton Hotel Limerick.
This initiative is part of EU-funded project SCORE - Sorting Cities Opposing Racism in Europe.
The event will bring together people working in the areas of sport, migrant integration and anti-racism, to engage in a panel discussion about the barriers, challenges and opportunities to overcome racism in and through sports in our community.
Our guest speakers include Zak Moradi, Leitrim Hurler, and Jackie McCarthy O’Brien, former football player for Ireland.
We will also have representatives from SARI (Sports against Racism) and MASI (Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland).
Refreshment will be served. Join us for an interesting discussion.
About SCORE project
SCORE - Sporting Cities Opposing Racism in Europe - is an EU-funded project with the overall objective to create a coalition of European cities and local entities for the promotion of inclusive sport as well as the prevention and fight against racism, xenophobia and intolerance in the field of sport.
SCORE has 13 partners from six European countries, including Ireland, France, Sweden, Austria, Greece and Spain. Doras is the only project partner in Ireland. Under the SCORE project, a series of seminars, training and workshops are being designed and delivered for relevant local stakeholders to build capacity and promote inclusive sport.
