Sport and Performance Nutrition
Led by a leading sports nutritionist, this workshop will explain what performance nutrition is and more importantly what it is not.
The informative workshop will take you through structuring a training diet, fuelling for training and competition, and the types of strategies you can use to enhance muscle recovery and adaptation. It will cover some of the contemporary supplements currently being used in sport.
Dr Lindsy Kass is a Senior Research Fellow in Sport and Exercise Science and Sport Nutrition at the University of Hertfordshire
She is a British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) accredited Sport and Exercise Scientist and is also registered with the Nutrition Society. She has many years of experience at community and elite level sport and performance.
Lindsy joined the University of Hertfordshire in 2004 having previously worked as a sport scientist and nutritionist. Although much of Lindsy's experience comes from working with elite athletes, she also works with the general public and public health agencies and has been actively involved with local schools encouraging good health through physical activity and healthy eating.
