Join artist Tony Perelli for a two-day Spoon Carving workshop on Wednesday and Thursday, February 25 and 26 from 5:30-8:30pm at Bunnell Street Arts Center. Learn the basics of wooden spoon carving in this two-part, hands-on workshop. Tony guides students from log to spoon blank, covering knife safety, carving techniques, and simple design along the way. Leave with a hand-carved spoon and a deeper appreciation for traditional spoons, nature and craft. Tools and materials provided; bring your own if you like.
**This opportunity is limited to 12 participants and ages 16+. Price to attend is listed as a sliding scale--please pay which option is best for you.

Tony Perelli has studied and carved with Bill Copperthwaite, Jarrod Dahl, Joe Senungetuk, John Manthei, Monroe Robinson, Mitch Poling, and others. He has taught carving skills in communities across Alaska, including Eagle River, Anchorage, Fairbanks, McCarthy, Seldovia, Tatitlek, Nuuciq, Gustavus, and Homer. Inspired by the natural world, Tony brings a patient, hands-on approach that helps students build skills, confidence, and a deeper connection to their work.
