About this Event
Get ready to design your very own mini succulent garden with a haunting twist! In this fun-filled session, both adults and children can unleash their creativity to craft a 3” succulent garden that captures the spirit of Halloween. Whether you're conjuring a spooky landscape or a whimsical witch’s garden, this therapeutic activity offers a delightful escape into nature’s wonders.
Join Joanna of Restorative Therapeutic Horticulture, as we explore the joy of nurturing these resilient plants while also nurturing ourselves. Participants will enjoy the many wellness benefits of this session, including:
- Embracing the present moment
- Reducing stress levels
- Boosting mood and positivity
- Building social connections in a supportive environment
All materials provided: pots, soil, spooky succulents, and plenty of smiles! Learning how to care for a plant isn’t just about gardening—it’s about empowering yourself to cultivate self awareness.
Come discover how even the smallest plant can make a big difference in your wellbeing and mood.

EXPLORE THE MARKET | While you're at Vizcaya Village, take some time to wander the Farmers Market and chat with local farmers and vendors. The market is open from 9am to 2pm every Sunday.
LOCATION | This activity takes place exclusively at Vizcaya Village, the estate’s historic farm village, and does not include access to the east side of the property where the Main House and gardens are located.
VIZCAYA FAMILY PROGRAMS | This series is designed to create opportunities for intergenerational interactions among families with young children (ages 6-12). As such, orders that do not include a child ticket may be canceled.
To promote inclusion for all, Vizcaya ensures that all community programs, after-hour and weekend events for locals, feature activities that are physically accessible to all visitors. While not all areas of the estate are wheelchair accessible, community programs are purposefully located in areas without stairs or that can be accessed via a ramp.
