About this Event
Entranced by printmaking, but find it a little spooky? Join illustrator Reese Dallas Bice to learn the fundamentals of relief printing and discover it’s nothing to shriek about! Reese will break down everything you need to know to start printing, including beginner-friendly techniques and design principles. Students will use small soft-cut blocks, which are gentle on the wrists and easy to print with.
Students will learn:
-How to ideate and design for relief printing
-Fundamental carving techniques
-How to print by hand
You’ll walk away with a lino block you can print again and again, as well as an edition of prints made in class. Students also receive a 4-page guide to linocut— a handy cheat-sheet outlining everything Reese knows about relief printing.
