A journey through voice, text, and polyphonyBrussels resounds. In every street, every language, every accent, stories come alive. In this workshop, you’ll discover how your voice fits in—unique, powerful, and connected to many others.
On the occasion of the reopening of the KBR museum, and inspired by centuries-old manuscripts and polyphonic scores, we invite you to let your own voice be heard. Together with poet and performer Miksi, founder of Spoken Word BXL, you’ll explore the art of spoken word—where language, rhythm and performance meet.
Whether you’re curious to try slam, overcome stage fright, or simply want to write and perform—every voice is welcome. Poetic, raw, quiet or loud: together we’ll create a contemporary polyphony of Brussels, with space for your story.
The workshop will be guided in English, but the facilitator also speaks Dutch and French. You are welcome to speak and write in the language you feel most comfortable in.
