CaRES Mentor, Collette Bise, brings an in-person offering of the CaRES Topic Support Group: Parenting Teens to Spokane Valley. This group explores strategies for parenting teens with a history of trauma, and how to develop healthy and supportive relationships with your teen while also nurturing their identity and responding to their challenging behaviors. Hear from other parents who share your experience and proactively develop an action plan for this complex phase of parenting. Attendees will earn training credit.Join us from 10:00am-4:00pm on Saturday, May 18th. We will meet in the Minuteman Press building located at 10020 East Montgomery in Spokane Valley. There will be a break for lunch from 12:30-1:00pm. Feel free to bring a lunch or take advantage of the many fast-food options available just minutes away.
There is no childcare available for this group. ThisTopic Support Group is open to all regardless of placement or case status. Kinship and all CPA or DCYF licensed foster parents are welcome.
