Welcome to Bristol Vanguard’s Spoils of War: Heretek event. Spoils of War is a team based narrative event that places players within a campaign setting and through their actions on the battlefield, and decisions made between rounds, allows them to contribute to a developing story and determine the narrative outcome from the weekend.
Spoils of War is also a celebration of the Hobby, we love to see the results of player’s hard work. Whether that is golden daemon quality showcase miniatures, crazy conversions or just someone’s first steps in the hobby to get a solid tabletop standard army ready. During the event we will let people showcase their work and vote for awards in a number of categories.
Spoils of War is not a tournament. Victories and defeats are secondary to the story, fun had and friendships (or rivalries…) made. There is no tracking of, or awards for, individual battlefield performance.
Missions are structured to allow people to engage in different aspects of play and be rewarded accordingly. Objective control will see your team hold territory, following team orders and engaging with secondary objectives will give your team command resources to better execute the campaign and vainglorious narrative acts will build the legend of your warlord and increase your personal power and influence.
There is something for everyone at spoils of war and as you will see from this event pack the structure of the event is an amalgamation of Narrative and Matched modes of play.
This event pack should give you all the information you need to prepare your forces for the campaign. Further narrative and campaign specific info will be released as we approach October.
