Breathwork is a powerful healing modality. While it is generally safe and deeply transformative, it can bring about certain physiological and emotional responses—including mild altered states of consciousness, tingling sensations, and strong emotional releases such as laughter, crying, or trembling.
Each participant is responsible for listening to their body and tending to their emotional, physical, and mental well-being throughout the session. You agree to participate within your own limits and understand you may pause or stop at any time.
Contraindications
Breathwork may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical or psychiatric conditions, including but not limited to:
- Pregnancy
- Detached retina or glaucoma
- Recent surgery or intense physical injury
- Uncontrolled low or high blood pressure
- Cardiovascular disease or condition (e.g., angina, history of heart attack or stroke)
- Brain or abdominal aneurysm
- Uncontrolled thyroid conditions
- Diabetes
- Respiratory conditions (e.g., emphysema, COPD)
- Severe asthma
- Epilepsy or history of seizures
- Diagnosed psychiatric conditions such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, severe PTSD
- Panic disorder or recent panic attacks
- Hospitalization for any psychiatric condition or emotional crisis in the past 10 years
- Use of medications that alter brain chemistry (e.g., antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers)
- Alcohol, substance use, psychedelics

Important Session Information
At the beginning of the session, participants will be asked to confirm that none of the listed contraindications apply to them. If it is revealed that a participant does have a contraindicated condition, they will be asked not to take part in the session for their own safety.
In such cases, tickets are non-refundable, as it is each attendee’s responsibility to have read and understood the disclaimer prior to purchasing.
