Might we define a mentor as one who empowers us to be as fully human as possible? But, what does that mean?
About this Event

When we first reflect on mentors, we are likely to consider family, influential teachers and/or spiritual guides, perhaps work associates. Still more are those further removed from our personal lives but still in our consciousness, such as political leaders, our favorite writers/authors, newscasters, actors and actresses, movie directors, even fictional characters who have taken on a life of their own. Then there are paradoxical mentors, those whom we hold up as examples of what to avoid.

Quantum physics takes this a step further. We all have vibrations, atmospheres, that by their very nature are “contagious” either consciously or most often unconsciously. These vibrations have an effect close by or at a distance depending on their power and others’ receptivity, and the transmission can be direct or through shared objects. In some way, we are entangled. Following this thread leads to the inevitable conclusion that we are all mentors for each other. These mentoring influences may differ in the degree of acknowledgement, the intensity, or the contexts, but we affect each other in some way.

Might we define a mentor as one who empowers us to be as fully human as possible? But, what does that mean? What practical difference does it make when we realize that we are surrounded by mentors and are mentors ourselves? How significant is it when we make this more conscious and more selective? How does it affect our view of ourselves, our behavior, and our relationships when we more clearly realize mentoring’s ubiquity?

Location will be sent once Registration is completed.
