We live in a highly technological age in which information is available instantly and anyone can access massive digital libraries that contain the wisdom on the ages. So why should we bother to read the Bible today? Is the Bible even relevant today? More people are rejecting organized religion even as they remain spiritual, but the Christian Scriptures appears to losing its authority and influence.
Join us as Dr. Tom Schwanda (C.S. Lewis Institute Senior Fellow for Christian Spirituality and emeritus professor at Wheaton College) discusses the nature of Scripture and transforming power it still holds for us today. He will discuss how to read the Bible, and he will draw from resources like the catechumenate model to point out the nature and purpose of biblical meditation. This will be both a time of teaching and practice, so be prepared to grow in your love for the Word.
