Spirit of Louisiana Katrina 20th Anniversary Commemorative Concert

Come join us for a special evening at the Slidell Municipal Auditorium as we wrap up the Spirit of Louisiana events with a concert featuring The Bucktown All-Stars, which was the first band to perform in Slidell's Bayou Jam Concert Series following Hurricane Katrina. Kicking off the event will be Vince Vance with a special tribute song. His band, Vince Vance and the Valiants, performed at Slidell's second post-Katrina Bayou Jam Concert, providing an opportunity for children to costume and trick-or-treat safely since so many neighborhoods were still challenged with hurricane debris.

This event is an opportunity to commemorate 20 years of resilience, rebuilding and rebirth, closing the doors on Katrina past and looking forward to the many possibilities ahead.

Admission is free, with priority admission for ticketed guests. Doors open at 5:45 pm following the Spirit of Louisiana Second Line honoring the many workers and volunteers who were part of Katrina rebuilding and recovery. Any tickets unredeemed by 6:00 pm will be released for general admission on a first-come, first-served basis.
