The Taranaki Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Christopher J. Luke takes you to France in their next 2025 Concert Season performance. Joining the orchestra will be one of New Plymouth’s greatest classical exports in recent times Dominic Jacquemard. Now a professional percussionist with the Auckland Philharmonia Dominic will join the orchestra in a rare performance of Darius Milhaud’s Concerto for Marimba Vibraphone & Orchestra - an exciting work that encompasses Dominic's mallet skills balanced against the beauty of Milhaud’s exploration of orchestral tonal colours. Mozart’s energetic “Paris” Symphony and Gabriel Faure’s charming orchestral suite Masques et Bergemasques complement the programme culminating in Ravel ’ s celebrated and much-loved Bolero . A musical voyage to France awaits you!
