Who may attend:
We welcome all professionals who serve people in their pregnancy and birth.
Ideal for: midwives, doulas and childbirth educators. Also attended by obstetricians, prenatal yoga instructors, chiropractors, osteopaths, acupuncturists and massage therapists. It is recommended for people new to Spinning Babies®️, as well as those practiced in it for years.
If you are a birth professional in your final month of pregnancy you may inquire about being our class model.
Babies in arms (4 months and under) are welcome.
About the instructor
Claire Eccleston is mother, grandmother, experienced midwife, pregnancy yoga teacher, craniosacral and STREAM practitioner, and midwifery educator. She promotes common sense, hands-on skills, and practice for midwives and birth support people that hope to ensure that birth remains in the hands of the birthing family.
Claire is a Spinning Babies® Approved Trainer offering Spinning Babies® Workshops in New Zealand and internationally. She is passionate about the ‘physiology before force’ approach that Spinning Babies® promotes and she has seen from her own practice how beneficial this approach alongside the understanding of anatomy and the application of gentle hands-on skills can be.
Claire is a dynamic facilitator presenting at conferences and offering workshops in New Zealand and internationally. Currently she is part of the New Zealand College of the Midwives education team.
Claire offers beautiful online courses ‘Home sweet homebirth’ building confidence in homebirth and ‘ Holy Ground’, the gentle preparation and healing of vaginas before and after birth. She offers gentle body work and internal pelvic work within the STREAM ( scar tissue Remediation and management).
Claire loves Spinning Babies® and has used the method in her work for many years. She can see the impact that Spinning Babies® has at changing Birth on Earth.
