The Vikings did it, the Egyptians did it and now it’s time for you to try it and learn the ancient art of spinning fibres into yarn.
Students will use a variety of hand spindles and even make one to take home and practise. Learn skills such as how to prepare fibres for spinning, how to use hand carders and how to spin a textured yarn. Take home some fleece to work on and fine tune your spinning skills.
