About this Event
Spin to Fight Cancer!
I am so lucky that I'll be running the 129th Boston Marathon on April 21st for Dana-Farber.
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leading-edge cancer center that provides treatment for patients and support for families undergoing cancer treatment and is a leader in research to fight cancer.
Here is my fundraising page which shares more about why I am running for Dana-Farber and all of the amazing work that Dana-Farber does:

A Sunday moring spin class is the perfect way to hide from the cold weather and break a sweat all while supporting an amazing cancer-center here in Boston. (And the perfect pre-brunch activity, if that's your style!)
New to spin? Intimidated? Don't worry - this will be an all levels class and I'll be teaching it :) It will be as challenging or as low-intensity as you want it to be as you control your own bike.
HOW TO DONATE:
Instead of paying for your ticket (i.e. giving your donation) through EventBrite, please reserve your "Free" ticket and then either visit my fundraising page linked above and donate directly there or Venmo me @amy-woogmaster with the memo "Dana-Farber Donation." Thank you!
(I did not specify how much the ticket "costs" as I want you to do donate what you feel comfortable with, but if you need some guidance, typically a spin class costs between $20-30, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Dana-Farber.)
*You do NOT need to be a member of NBFitness Club to come to this class! But since this is a fundraiser, I am asking everyone to donate to reserve the bike, even if you are a member. If you are not a member, you will be sent a waiver to complete a few days before the event.
PARKING:
There is a garage (the entrance is on Guest Street with all of the red/orange/blue on the building) and the gym will validate your parking ticket so it is FREE - just make sure to bring it inside with you. (Note: This is not the garage on Life Street - the gym will not validate that garage.) *There may be an event at the Track next door, so Boston Landing will be quite busy - come early, expect to take some time to find parking.
ARRIVAL:
Please arrive by 10:45 so I can help you get your bike set up (or even closer to 10:30 if you are new to spinning)! When you come inside the gym, just sign in with the person at the front desk and they'll direct you to the spin room! If you have not completed the waiver online (will be emailed a few days before), you'll do that when you arrive.
WHAT TO BRING/WEAR:
Wear comfortable clothes to sweat and move in! If you have SPD spin shoes, feel free to bring those - if you don't, NO PROBLEM - just wear sneakers. And definitely bring a water bottle! There are towels in the locker room, as well as a sauna, so feel free to relax in the sauna and shower after class if you'd like - it's a great gym ;)
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM CLASS:
A dark room, lots of energy, pretty loud music, a lot of sweat, a good workout, and a fun time. It's all levels, so please just come ready to move your body and have fun for a good cause! It will be 45 minutes of spinning which includes a warm up and a cool down, and will be followed by a few minutes of stretching.
