Spike’s School aims to educate and improve communication between the handler and their K9 through top-notch training from exceptional and recognized trainers across the country. Quality training results in increased effectiveness in the workplace and safer handling, protecting everyone involved. Thanks to our generous donors, we can sponsor approved applicants to help relieve the burden of training costs. We will be teaming up with the professional team at Kilo-9 to host a 2-day K9 Emergency Medical Course. Law Enforcement handlers attending this course will get classroom instruction from Dr. Rob Presley, followed by hands-on training and live-action scenarios to test what they have learned. Handlers can practice on life-like K9 mannikins while getting one-on-one guidance and feedback from Dr. Presley and his team. Students attending this course will be prepared with the knowledge and hands-on experience to help save their K9 partner in the event of a medical emergency.
