Q. What is Speed Friending?
A. Speed Friending is like Speed Dating, only better! We talk to someone one-on-one for a few minutes. When the host yells "SWITCH!" we switch chairs and then talk to someone else one-on-one. We do this until everyone has met everyone!
Q. Is the goal to make friends?
A. Maybe! But the focus isn't on finding new "best friends" -- it's more about having the opportunity to casually meet a wide variety of new people. We're foremost helping neighbors meet neighbors!
Q. Meeting lots of people quickly sounds scary. Is it scary?
A. Nope! Since everyone meets everyone, and for a tolerable short amount of time, it's a pretty approachable way to talk to new people. Most people find this a rewarding and interesting way of connecting with others. You probably will too!
Q. How much does it cost?
A. It's free! However, consider grabbing some food or drink from Dovetail Cafe afterward. This is a great chance to talk more with people you just met!
