Whether you're new to the city, expanding your social circle, or looking to connect with others who share your interests, Arts & Education at the Hoyt's newest series of speed-friending events offers opportunities for adults, young and old, to get to know each other.Inspired by the popular speed dating format, speed-friending offers short, structured rounds of conversation where participants meet a variety of people in a relaxed, judgment-free setting. Each event will include icebreaker prompts, light refreshments, and access to the galleries to spark conversations across ages, backgrounds, and interests. Events rotate between morning and evening sessions. BYOB to evening events if you like. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
The first event, A Photo is Worth a Thousand Words, will take place on August 23, 10-11:30 am and is inspired by new photography exhibits. Bring a favorite photo to spark conversations and stick around to browse the exhibit while sharing some pastries with a new friend!
