It's time to admit what everyone has been thinking for a while, the apps suck and it's time to delete them. Rather than talking to all levels of fakery (including AI robots) on your phone, come socialise meeting new people at our Speed Dating & Trivia night, where you'll meet a heap of people and play trivia - an event like no other!
On this special Friday night, you and a friend are going to team up with 2 trivia teammies, after first meeting all the possible candidates. We're kicking off with an hour of 2 on 2 speed dating. You and your, say, female friend will meet 2 guys at a time for 7 minutes each, and see if they're worthy of joining your trivia team. At the end of the speed dating everyone will submit a match card to the host, and then with our magic formula the speed datees will be formed into trivia teams. Then we play trivia - lots of fun and prizes with our host Lachie.
So think of this as 2 on 2 speed dating with an instant date on a Friday night, what a blast! Of course, you and your friend may have different opinions on the eligibility of someone's knowledge of all things trivial. But after the trivia there'll be plenty of time to catch up with whoever caught your eye, and we may even arrange for an after party down the road and 'under the bridge'.
This is an exceptional event to come with a friend to! You can come alone too. In which case find someone on the night you get along with to team up with for the speed dating and trivia.
The venue is the beer-gardenesque Copacabana Bar, which is a hidden bar at the back of Mr Badger's. Enter Mr Badger's at 24 Logan Rd and see if you can find the hidden entrance to the Copacabana (it helps if you sing the song;) !
