What is Speed Arting?
Think speed dating… but for ART!
Speed Arting Day is a fun, fast-paced creative event where you rotate through a series of mini-art activities, trying out different materials, techniques and styles. Each table offers something new — from drawing to collage to experimental mark-making — giving you the chance to discover what sparks your creativity.
It’s all about:
✨ Trying new art forms
✨ Meeting other young creatives
✨ Making quick, expressive artwork
✨ Having fun and letting creativity flow
✨ Building confidence with playful, low-pressure making
Who is it for?
This workshop is free and open to anyone aged 16–25 living in Cornwall.
No experience needed — just curiosity and an openness to create!
Why are we running this?
This event is part of Cornwall Council’s Mental Health and Engagement Project, gathering creative insight from young people about what helps their wellbeing. By taking part, you’ll also have the option to anonymously contribute your thoughts to the 2026 Director of Public Health Report for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
What to expect
During your session, you’ll:
✔ Rotate between art stations every few minutes
✔ Try out different mediums and techniques
✔ Connect with others in a relaxed, creative space
✔ Take home artwork you make on the day
✔ Reflect on what supports your mental health
✔ Have a LOT of fun!
