Speculative Futures | Afrofuturism and the Art of Stacey RobinsonConversation + Zine Workshop
As the U.S. approaches its 250th anniversary, the MSU Museum’s Speculative Futures series looks ahead, featuring artists and scholars who imagine what comes next and how stories can reshape identity, justice, and possibility.
Join artist, graphic novelist, and University of Illinois professor Stacey Robinson for a conversation on Afrofuturism, moderated by MSU Museum curator Julian Chambliss. Robinson’s work connects history, sound, technology, and bold visual storytelling to envision new futures for the African diaspora.
Stay after the talk for a hands-on zine-making workshop, continued conversation, and light refreshments.
