About this Event
What we'll do
We’ll meet up at a lightly traveled trailhead in a quiet North Phoenix neighborhood about a half hour before sundown.
From there, we’ll hike a little less than a mile to a scenic, quiet perch where we’ll watch a spectacular Arizona sunset.
Along the way, I’ll point out some cool tidbits about desert plants and animals.
A little later we’ll witness a magnificent full moon rise from the eastern skyline.
With the moon lighting our path, we’ll return to the starting point and say our goodbyes or head to a nearby establishment for drinks.
This entire, unforgettable experience lasts a total of about 90 minutes.
Total distance is about 1.5 miles and requires the ability to hike terrain as steep as a treadmill set at the highest angle, with short breaks built in.
About the location:- Our starting and ending point is a trailhead located adjacent to 3143 E Puget Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85028
- Here 32nd Street comes to a dead end about a mile south of the SR51 freeway. Even though you’ll see no parking signs, they are meant to deter people from blocking the bike lane.
Thanks for considering me as your guide. I hope to meet you on this or a future hike.
