This show will be open to the public and live-streamed from the 3rd Street Facebook page. CHRIS MOYSE will be our featured performer with the show starting at 8:00 PM EST. BOB SCHMUCKER will open at 7:30 PM EST. The LiveStream feed will begin at 7:30 PM. At 8:00 PM EST, we welcome Nashville singer-songwriter Chris Moyse for a special Thursday night show. Winner of the 2017 Kerrville New Folk songwriting competition, Chris Moyse is a folk artist out of Nashville, TN. His debut album Bitter Ballads & Cynical Prayers shares an attention to lyricism with artists like Jason Isbell and Hayes Carll, with melodies that are reminiscent of Gregory Alan Isakov and John Moreland. He has recently shared the stage with Joe Ely, Mary Gauthier, Ben Kweller, and members of Old Crow Medicine Show and has appeared at music festivals across the country. At 7:30 PM EST, we welcome back our own refugee from the Windy City, Bob Schmucker. Bob brings his own brand of Chicago and Texas inspired folk and Americana music including tales of adventures in the Roanoke County Jail, heartfelt ballads and nature appreciation songs all from his unique and somewhat imaginative perspective. You may even hear a tall tale or two, a few bad jokes or other minor disturbances on and off camera as Bob engages the crowd!

Now in our 38th year, 3rd Street Coffeehouse is a non-profit listening room run by volunteers and never has a cover charge. We ask that you support our musicians by contributing to the real or virtual hat, which will be identified during the performance.
