Enjoy stories, music, movement and rhymes that develop your child’s early literacy skills with a story time lead by a KCLS librarian. Then, join an expert for a parenting topic. Cristina Wheatley, M.Ed., IMH-E, from Kindering will lead an interactive session where caregivers can ask questions about children’s development and behavior and get answers to questions like: why is my child biting now? Or, is it okay that my 18-month-old isn’t walking yet? Or, why does she have a major temper tantrum when her banana breaks in half? Participants can share their wisdom and get feedback from others.
Attendance of both Story Time and presentation is not necessary; caregivers may choose to attend one or the other. Story Time will be from 10:30-11am and the presentation from 11am-12pm. Quiet toys will be provided for children accompanying caretakers during the class.
All young children welcome with adult.
