We warmly invite you to join us on the evening of Friday 23rd June as the leading theologian and philosopher of religion Professor Keith Ward speaks on the topic "Can Everyone be Saved?"
Keith Ward is Emeritus Regius Professor of Divinity in the University of Oxford and Canon of Christ Church, Oxford. He is a priest of the Church of England and a Fellow of the British Academy.
Professor Ward's interests include Faith and Reason, the Diversity of Religions, the Idea of God, Liberal Theology, Religion and Science, and Ethics.
He is the author of numerous scholarly and popular books including My Theology: Personal Idealism (DLT, 2021), Sharing in the Divine Nature (Cascade, 2020), Religion in the Modern World (Cambridge, 2019), Is Religion Dangerous? (Lion, 2007), What the Bible Really Teaches (SPCK, 2004) and the multi-volume Comparative Theology (Clarendon and SCM Press, 1994-2008).
Please come along for this unique opportunity to engage with one of the most significant Christian thinkers of our times, here in Birmingham.
Please invite friends and anyone who would be interested. Under 18s are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
All are welcome, of all faiths and beliefs. The talk is free, but donations are gladly accepted for costs.
We join together for refreshments in church at 7pm, with the lecture starting at 7.30pm. The building is fully accessible for wheelchairs.
