Special Service for the closing of the 195th Glasgow BB Company

We have come to the difficult decision to close our BB Company. Keeping the 195th Glasgow Company going has not been easy since we started back after COVID. We have tried having all the sections meet on the same night, but the number of boys attending each week remained low, and staff work commitments have meant that on some weeks we have had insufficient leaders to run the company.
To recognise the achievements of the Company over the past 111 years and give thanks to all staff and boys, both past and present, a special service will take place in the church in Western Avenue, Rutherglen on Sunday 14th September at 11.00 am. The service will be led by the Rev Jack Drummond, former chaplain of the 195. All boys and parents, as well as past members and friends of the company, are cordially invited to this service.
