Join North Queensland Women’s Legal Service and Queensland Human Rights Commission for a special screening of Tinā!To mark the end of 16 Days of Activism and celebrate Human Rights Day, we will be screening Tinā which tells the story of a teacher in Christchurch, the power of music, and life after personal tragedy.
Tickets are only $5 each and you will receive a goodie bag!
So join us for a night of community and connection.
All proceeds from ticketing will go to the NQWLS client advocate team who provide non-legal holistic support to NQWLS clients. Many of the women they support are dealing with complex challenges such as homelessness, domestic and family violence, and generational trauma. This money will go towards grocery and fuel vouchers so that when women come to NQWLS, the worry of not knowing where their next meal is coming from is not blocking them in accessing timely legal advice and support.
