In the 1960s a number of artists, writers, musicians, and poets gravitated towards St Ives because of its reputation as an artists colony. Donovan wrote his famous song Catch The Wind in St Ives. Diana Taylor's fascinating documentary covers the diverse cultures which existed then, often with tension between those who relied on local industries for their work and the those who came to mix with the beatniks and who the locals thought did not contribute to the town financially. There were also big political differences between the far left, the far right, liberals, communists, and socialists. With music and amusing anecdotes this is a real romp through the decade.
