Saturday 11/22 4:30-7pm in the open air multi level courtyard we are honored to host this incredibly talented and hard working touring trio………. Rare opportunity in this kind of setting is to say the least…..Shelby Kemp (Mississippi based singer/songwriter) Was introduced to Taylor and Ashley Galbraith (Florida based drum and bass duo) in 2023 by guitarist Eddie Roberts (of The New Mastersounds.)
Eddie was putting together a band to play with him full time in the states, and assembled the trio in Denver, CO to begin rehearsing and writing for their first album release. The band, The Lucky Strokes put out their self titled first album later that year. The record features a 50/50 mix of songs written by Kemp, and songs written as a collaboration between Kemp and Roberts.
The Lucky Strokes embarked on a spring 2024 tour as the opening act for The New Mastersounds, playing across the country at venues like The Fillmore in San Francisco, The Brooklyn Bowl in NYC, The Sinclair in Boston, The Chop Shop in Chicago, and The House Of Blues in New Orleans.
Later that summer the band traveled to Spain to play a tour of the country.
That fall, The band played a set at the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival, and Kemp competed in and won the Telluride blues challenge as a solo artist.
The following year, the band continued touring the country (Sweetwater in San Francisco, Cervantes in Denver, Amp Jam at Suwanee Music Park.)
After a chance meeting with guitar slinger Cory Wong on Jam Cruise 2024, The Galbraith Sisters were invited to be instructors at his Syncopated Summer Camp in 2025.
In the summer of 2025, with Eddie's schedule with the New Mastersounds picking up for their farewell tour, Kemp, Galbraith, and Galbraith decided to take a step out on their own and began production of their debut record, which is set to be released later this year, in tandem with their return as a trio to Telluride Blues and Brews Festival.
With their love of all things Roots, Rock, and Rural, the trio creates a sound that combines Country twang and Hypnotic Blues with Folk storytelling, and filters it all through their Classic Rock upbringing.
The Trio, still in its infancy, in an intimate setting and space like this here at the Witch will be truly a treat that in time won’t happen much moving forward.
