October 12, 2024 , 9am-4pm, Lunch from 12-1pm 16+
Please join us in this hands-on experience, as Amy takes you through the techniques in throwing closed forms. Techniques covered will be; throwing closed forms with bottoms and without in the form of pumpkins, collaring a cylinder, shaping closed forms, attaching stems to your pumpkins and carving closed forms. Amy will also demonstrate some glazing tricks she uses on pumpkins and other forms that are carved!
Potters attending must be able to center up to 2 pounds of clay independently and throw a cylinder. Specialty tools will be provided (Artists will receive these tools to keep!), but participants need to bring their own clay (dark clay is suggested but any clay of your choice will work) and basic pottery tools for throwing. The workshop will be held, Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 9am-4pm and lunch will be provided. Prepare to have a fun and informative day!
