About this Event
The inaugural Special Interest Group on Inclusive Teaching (SIGIT) Conference is an exciting event that all UU lecturers won't want to miss! Join us in person at Ulster University, York Street, Belfast, UK for a first of its kind day filled with insightful discussions and interactive workshops.
We will hear from a diverse student panel about their experiences at UU and how lecturers/tutors can enhance their journey. Participants will have the opportunity to create an inclusivity statement and work hands on with our Digital team to make documents more accessible.
We have the priviledge of welcoming our key note speaker, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Osama Khan from Aston University. Osama is a proven academic leader and innovator, who has achieved sector-leading outcomes in student experience and educational quality. His strong commitment to values-based leadership aligns with working with diverse groups. He is Chair of Advance HE's equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) Strategic Advisory Group.
Some of our own UU lecturers will share their experience of inclusive practice that is making a difference in their classes. They will be represents of a range of departments and schools so that we can share best practice across our entire university.
