About this Event
We’re coming together to celebrate something truly incredible —Taunton has officially become a Compassionate Town! 🌍💚 To mark this milestone, we’re hosting a meeting of connection, reflection, and, of course, compassion.
This is a free event, for all people, in collaboration with Taunton Town Council and the mayor of Taunton. It coincides with the Taunton Together Festival and the formal signing of the Charter at the Minster in the afternoon by The Mayor, The High Sheriff and Andy Spragg.
Here’s what’s in store:
**Buddhist Contemplations on Compassion:** Dive into some inspiring thoughts and teachings on compassion from the Buddhist tradition.
**Guided Compassion Meditation:** We’ll be led through a calming and grounding meditation, helping us connect with our inner kindness and extend it to the world around us.
Whether you're new to meditation or experienced, everyone is welcome! It’s going to be a relaxed, uplifting gathering, and we’d love for you to be part of it.
So, come along, bring your friends, and let’s celebrate compassion in our community together!
