Special Education “Ask the Advocate” Workshop - Building a Foundation for Advocacy: Parent Action, Accountability, & Resolving DifferencesTuesday, January 20, 10am-12pm (in-person)
2602 McLeod Rd., Bellingham
Families are encouraged to attend this parent-focused workshop empowering participants to advocate for their child’s Special Education services. Parents will learn the importance of their role, how to voice disagreements or concerns at any time within the process, and how to resolve differences or disagreements. We will share the skills needed for a successful IEP team meeting. If Bellingham School District is closed due to inclement weather, our office will be closed and in-person events will be cancelled. We will send an email to those who are registered with a new workshop date. Presenters: Beverly Porter and Melissa Abraham
