This class is part of a "mini-immersion series" taking place on three separate occasions in the autumn of 2024 (Sundays after Mysore class). Participants get a chance to delve deeper into the role of the breath in yoga asana practice, as well as for their general well-being. During each of the three different sessions, we explore the anatomy of the breath, the function and importance of bandha (body locks); we try different breathing exercises/pranayama in stillness and movement.Each class has a special theme that strives to give the participants inspiration and new insights into the importance of the breath for physical and spiritual part of the yoga practice. The theme of the third session is "pranayama, chanting and meditation from a yoga philosophical perspective".
The classes contain both easier and more advanced exercises and are open to all levels of yoga practitioners except complete beginners. One can take part in individual classes, but attending all three occasions will be the most beneficial.
