Climate Catastrophe Ground Zero Tacoma Coalition presents: Speaking Truth To PowerThis workshop is designed to help people feel empowered to give verbal testimonies at city or county council, port commission meetings or public hearings.
We'll have local dynamic public speakers from the movement giving tips about how to plan effective yet short comments, how to overcome nerves, and how to command attention from your target audience. Then we'll take turns practicing and give each other helpful constructive suggestions and praise.
These decision-makers need to hear your voice! The skills you learn in this workshop will be useful for any issues you're passionate about.
All ages welcome! The space is wheelchair accessible. We'll have some snacks. Mostly street parking.
