About this Event
Designed for University of Minnesota faculty, research staff, post-docs, graduate students, and communications practitioners, Speaking Science is a blend of inspiring talks and practical skill building. At the full-day conference, participants are encouraged to explore topics of interest through a variety of breakout sessions – building lasting connections among systemwide SciComm activities, initiatives, and practitioners.
This year, we’re excited to welcome Tseganesh Selameab and Ben Trappey for our keynote presentation: The Power of Storytelling in Health Advocacy. The keynote will be followed by breakout sessions on topics including: collaborations across art and science, interacting with media, digital accessibility in science communication, community-based participatory research, SciComm social media, and more!
