Location: 725 Camino Lejo, Udall Building, 2nd Floor Conference RoomThe presentation will cover some of the predictions for climate change in our region and the potential landscape-scale consequences of changes in rainfall amount and seasonality. Our work is focused in and around the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge as part of the Sevilleta Long-term Ecological Research Program.
Scott Collins is a Distinguished Professor of Biology and Loren Potter Chair of Plant Ecology in the Department of Biology at the University of New Mexico. Prior to coming to New Mexico he was a Program Director at the National Science Foundation in Arlington VA and a faculty member in the Department of Botany and Microbiology at the University of Oklahoma, Norman. He has served as Chair of the US Long-term Ecological Research (LTER) Network and President of the Ecological Society of America, the largest society for professional ecologists in the world. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Ecological Society of America.
