Shane Balkowitsch is a North Dakota native and expert in wet plate photography - a historical form of photography with breathtaking results. Shane has been sharing his passion for wet plate photography and capturing history with lectures all over the world, recently at Oxford in the United Kingdom. He has also had his works added to collections at the North Dakota State Historical Society, the National Portrait Gallery, among other renowned historical collections.
A lively Q & A period will follow.
Presented in support from Stark County Historical Society at the Dickinson Museum Center, the Department of Education at Dickinson State University and the Theodore Roosevelt Center.
