We are so pleased to announce the first PTA Speaker Series event will be held during our usual PTA meeting time on Monday, February 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the WES cafeteria. This is a free event and childcare will be provided by CMS student volunteers. In this talk, presented by Amanda Garratt, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and WES parent, you will learn what current research tells us about how constant connectivity is shaping children’s mental health, attention, sleep, and social development. We’ll look at what may be getting lost in an internet-based childhood--and, importantly, what parents can realistically do, both individually and as a community, to support healthier development for children and adolescents.
