Come and bring a friend to the next offering in our Speaker Series at 1 p.m. Thursday Sept. 11 to learn about an often-forgotten Baltimorean who made a significant contribution to the history of Baltimore and our country. A perfect remembrance to coincide with Patriot Day. Hear the fascinating story of Mary Pickersgill, Baltimore seamstress who crafted the flag that flew over Fort McHenry during the War of 1812. Chris Sniezek, executive director of the Star-Spangled Banner Flag House, digs into Mary's story, exploring one of Baltimore's most influential individuals of the early 19th century and why Baltimore became Mary's home. Light refreshments will be served. RSVP to 410-887-5399 or [email protected].
