Speak Up, Speak Out, Break the Silence is a FREE Family Resource Event hosted by HOAP, Inc., The City of GR, Uptown Church GR, and LEAD Exchange Network. This event is designed to bring families with youth ages 12 and up together for open, empowering conversations around mental health, addiction, and the ways these challenges can contribute to cycles of violence and abuse.
Taking place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at the Kroc Center, this event will provide a safe, welcoming space for families to learn, connect, and engage with trusted community organizations offering support, education, and resources.
Families will have the opportunity to meet service providers face-to-face, ask questions, and gain tools that promote healing, resilience, and healthy relationships. Lunch will be provided.
We are also welcoming individuals who feel called to serve as volunteers and community partners interested in participating as vendors. Together, we are laying a foundation for connection, awareness, and hope as we begin the new year united in breaking the silence and strengthening families.
