We will meet at 9:00 AM at the Thomas E Hannah Family YMCA in Spartanburg, SC (151 Ribault St) with step off at 9:30.The walk is rated 1A with gentle inclines and fully paved. There is a 6/9/12 KM option, The 6 KM includes picturesque neighborhoods, a stroll through the downtown, a spectacular church, a walk through a university and a very quiet park with fountain The 9 KM, besides the above goes through two parks with spectacular fountains, a possible stop at Krispy Kreme Donuts and an interesting mural by the train station museum. The 12 KM includes all the above plus another park with a cascading stream, the stadium where the Carolina Panthers have their summer camp and Wolford College.
The starting point is the Spartanburg YMCA.
Directions: From 1-26, take Exit 15 right toward Spartanburg onto US 176. Continue (Becomes Pine Street) crossing Main Street to light at Henry Street. Right on Henry 1 block and left on Lafayette to end at YMCA.
