Sparrow Smith, a multi-instrumentalist based in Marshall, NC, is well loved for her evocative songwriting, tasteful banjo playing, epic accordion chops, and striking style. She has made a mark as a longtime leader of bands, (most notably the Resonant Rogues) alongside her husband and creative partner, Keith Josiah Smith, and she is now stepping into the spotlight under her own name with her debut album: Carolina Mountains. Sparrow’s journey into Appalachian old time started in her late teens with freight trains and Tommy Jarrell tapes, and her musical taste is informed by a lifelong love of social dance. When not on tour, Sparrow can be found in the Blue Ridge mountains where she teaches Women’s Basic Carpentry and where she has built her homestead with her own hands.

Meredith Moon started writing songs at the age of eight. Growing up immersed in folk music, including the music of her father, Gordon Lightfoot, she became a self-taught guitar player by the age of fourteen. A few years later, she found her sound as a busker on sidewalks from Halifax to Vancouver.

The Lonesome Heroes have been dancing the line between indie, country, and Americana sounds for nearly two decades in Austin, Texas. Seasons Change paints a picture of sonic and scenic landmarks - a mural of musical influences inspired by interstate miles. Restless rock & roll, lackadaisical honky-tonk and a modern take on Cosmic American Music all converge here in the sixth album of the Heroes discography.
