Mention sparkling wines and the reaction is almost always the same: oohs and aahs from the crowd. Made in almost every winemaking country, sparkling wine achieved its greatest fame and notoriety in Champagne, France. And though only sparkling wines from the Champagne region of France can be called “Champagne,” there are many other delightful sparkling wines. We will taste several representative sparkling wines, from a variety of regions in a range of styles. Come hungry, as the wines will be paired with a delicious meal, prepared under the talented Cappella chef/owner, Rob Picardi. Note: A wine fee of $15 per person is payable in class. Limited to 23.
